Terms of Service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("DexQ", "we", "us"). They apply to the DexQ website and to the DexQ apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac (together, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. What DexQ is

DexQ is a habit tracker that cues short desk movements, lets you mark them done, and shows your progress. The Apple Watch app delivers cues. The phone, iPad, Mac and web apps help you set up, browse exercises, run a workout and review progress. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

2. Not medical advice

DexQ provides general wellness information and exercise suggestions. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

  • Talk to a doctor before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or are unsure whether an exercise is safe for you.
  • Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort, and get medical help if you need it.
  • Do not do exercises or breathing sessions while driving, operating machinery, or anywhere distraction could be dangerous. Make sure you have room, a stable surface and a safe chair.
  • In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

You use the exercises and the information in the Services at your own risk.

3. Your account

  • You sign in with your email address and a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and your devices secure.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it current. One person per account.
  • Tell us right away at [support@yourdomain] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • Signing out on your phone also signs out your Apple Watch.

4. Who can use DexQ

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country sets a higher age for consent to online services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You must not be barred from using the Services under applicable law.

5. Community challenges

Challenges let you join a group and compare scores with people you invite.

  • You can invite up to 5 people to a challenge by email. Only invite people you know, and only with their email address if you have a reason to use it. Do not send unwanted invitations.
  • Other members of a challenge can see your name or email, your picture if you added one, and your score in that challenge.
  • Do not harass others, use offensive names or pictures, or try to cheat by submitting false completions or scores.
  • We may remove a person from a challenge, adjust or reset scores, or end a challenge to keep things fair and safe.

6. Your content

"Your content" means what you add to the Services, such as your profile details and your activity records. You keep ownership of it. You give us a limited license to host, store, copy and display it, only as needed to run the Services for you, including showing your challenge score to its members. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies that remain in backups for a short period.

You promise that your content is yours to share and does not break the law or anyone's rights.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • break the law or others' rights, or use the Services to harass, threaten or deceive anyone;
  • try to access another person's account or data, or probe or test the Services' security without our written permission;
  • interfere with or overload the Services, or use bots or scrapers on them;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or build a competing service from the Services or their content, except where the law allows it;
  • remove notices of ownership, or use our name, logo or exercise artwork without permission;
  • submit false completions, or otherwise try to manipulate streaks, stats or challenge scores.

8. Apple and other third parties

The apps use Apple services such as the App Store, Apple Health, notifications and WatchConnectivity. Your use of those is governed by Apple's terms. If you downloaded an app from the App Store, Apple is not responsible for it, has no obligation to provide support, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms for your use of the app. The Services may link to other sites and services that we do not control, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Fees and subscriptions

DexQ is free to use today. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and billing terms before you buy. Purchases made in the apps are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's payment and refund terms, and you manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Deleting the app or your DexQ account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

10. Our rights in the Services

The Services, including the software, design, exercise images and text, belong to [Legal entity name] or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps and website for your own use under these Terms. We keep all other rights.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Beta features

We may offer features labeled beta or experimental. They may change, be unreliable or be removed without notice.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using DexQ and delete your account at any time from Settings in the iPhone or iPad app, or by emailing [support@yourdomain]. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we must for legal or security reasons, or if we stop offering the Services. We will give notice when we reasonably can. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 2, 6, 10, 13, 14, 15 and 16) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that your streaks, stats or data will never be lost, or that DexQ will produce any particular health result.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DexQ and its owners, staff and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnity

If you break these Terms or the law, and a third party brings a claim against us because of it, you will cover the reasonable costs of that claim to the extent permitted by law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by [Governing law and courts, e.g. the laws of your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please write to us at [support@yourdomain] and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. If we cannot, the courts of that jurisdiction have jurisdiction, except that you may also bring a claim in your home courts if your local consumer law gives you that right.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Services after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not accept, stop using the Services.

18. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part, we have not waived it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, sale or reorganization.
